UHS Golf Team Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2017-18 UHS Varsity Golf team will be held over a three-day period. Please note the following schedule:

Monday, August 14th, at Loch Nairn Golf Club starting at 1:30pm
Tuesday, August 15th, at Kennett Square Golf & Country Club starting at 2:00pm
Wednesday, August 16th, at Kennett Square Golf & Country Club starting at 2:00pm

For those new to the school/sport, Golf is a Varsity level sport at Unionville. The coach will select 12 players shortly after the three-day tryout process. Of the 12 players, only 8 will play in each tournament/contest and only the 5 lowest scores are counted in the match.  The first match is scheduled for Tuesday, August 22nd.

Golf tryouts are open to male or female UHS students, provided all required pre-participation forms have been submitted to the Athletics Office by Monday, August 7th. Details and forms may be found on the Athletics page of the UHS website.

UHS Crew Learn-to-Row Clinic

The UHS Rowing Club will host two Learn-to-Row Clinics on Sunday, August 13th OR Saturday, August 19th. These clinics are a great way to learn all about rowing and discover if the sport is right for you. The one-day clinic will teach you the basic rowing stroke on the ergometer (erg / rowing machine) and in a boat on the water. Boys and Girls are welcome! These clinics are open to rising 8th, 9th and 10th graders. Register at www.rowurc.org.
